craigslist has removed all my posts, and won't let me post more. there doesn't seem to be any other place to advertize it. i-am-bored won't list me. all my attempts to make it more interactive and bring more traffic are failing. my numbers are decreasing greatly. i am getting less and less calls.

i think i need to realize what most people usually don't: when it's time to quit.

is that time coming up here soon?

changed most of the colors back... i guess the dark background was liked. the white was too, but the one who likes the dark background is way cooler than all you guys.

i've noticed that people like to copy other people. well, i already knew this, but this site is proving it. in one of the first voicemails, someone pressed a button while hanging up their phone. i commented on this. then, a whole bunch of people after that pressed buttons while hanging up their phone. i later commented on how so many people can't seem to hang up their phone without pressing a button... and after that, it stopped.

also, one person said, "i love you." i commented on it, and after that, people started telling me left and right that they love me.

there was another thing that people seemed to copy that i noticed... but i can't think of it right now. it's 3:30 am, and i'm tired. maybe i'll remember it later.

i thought i'd write my thoughts on my experiment. here i will note interesting things that i discover about people and stuff.

i started this because i really do find random strangers interesting. i enjoy watching and studying them at school, on the bus, in the store, in the church... and also online. i thought it would be interesting to see what random people would say, if presented with the request to call and just leave a message. i also thought it would be fun to just get a voicemail every so often, because no one calls me.

i began advertizing my idea at criagslist.org. i noticed that mostly females responded to my ads there. i have no idea why.

recently, pointlesssites.com listed me. this exploded my traffic and the number of voicemails, and interestingly, got a lot more guys involved. with the larger number of callers, i ran into some attention seekers. kids started spamming me over and over, expecting that i would actually put up 27 voicemails in a row of them rambling. i started having to implement some quality control, instead of posting everything, no matter how boring, as i had done originally.

now the human desire for interaction is showing itself, as my callers are starting to interact with each other. it will be interesting to see how far this might go.
